From “Las Cuevas” Residence we offer an experience of artistic practice located in a natural context. To generate projects linked to nature and rethink our artistic practices; building a space for experimentation, exchange and research in the arts within 200 hectares available in the Reserve.
Our main objective is to develop transdisciplinary artistic practices and thus generate artistic projects located in nature, where the flora, fauna and the pictographic-archaeological legacy of the reserve are the protagonists. Encourage the recovery and survey of popular knowledge in the community. The recognition and appreciation of native forests, native trees and medicinal plants as part of the ecosystem that we inhabit and defend.
We aim to generate movements of decolonisation of thought and cultural action. To enable a place of production and individual or collective research located in the Latin American regional context on the axes of artistic, educational, scientific and health practices.
We have the support of the Commune of Cerro Colorado and we are part of 5célula Arte y Comunidad (International Collective of Associated Artists).
