RESIDENCIA EPECUEN

Since 2002 in the city of La Plata, Buenos Aires-Argentina, Residencia Corazón exhibits works by artists and generates events of multiple disciplines, with special emphasis on emerging and quality productions, working in both traditional and alternative circuits. Due to its location in the centre of La Plata, it constitutes a meeting point for artists as well as for the public of the city or those who visit it.

Since 2006, we have started our International Artists in Residence Programme (A-I-R), which aims to generate and enable a personalised, free and independent artistic exchange between local and international artists. The residency allows a mutual enrichment, a formal and emotional approach to new artistic experiences. The visitor enjoys a dynamic period of work, having at his disposal a studio-home to realise his project and exhibit it in Argentina. They can interact, contact colleagues, educational and cultural institutions and the general public.

Residencia Corazón receives institutional support and has been declared of Cultural Interest by the Secretaría de Cultura de la Nación Argentina, the Instituto Cultural de la Provincia de Buenos Aires and the Municipality of La Plata, and of Academic Interest by the Universidad Nacional de La Plata.
